It was just the other day I wrote about how everyone is on a different path and we need to stop comparing ourselves. Today I want to touch one something that is very similar and so prominent, especially with social media these days and that’s “hate”. I don’t like using the word hate which is quite funny because growing up and not knowing any better I remember using it very often for the most pointless things from, “I hate wearing a snowsuit” to “I hate waking up early.” I clearly didn’t know any better as most children use this word often. Thankfully I’ve grown and evolved a lot since then and I have eliminated that word from my vocabulary (well unless we’re referencing snakes, spiders or bugs – I do in fact dislike them very much!).

Let’s keep it brief since it’s a Friday – people feel as if they are entitled to say whatever they want from behind a computer screen. Little do they realize their words (yes, even written) have just as much power as they do when thought or spoken. Hateful words over social media are common these days and even I encounter them when people comment on my articles on the website or other social media pages. Not everyone is going to love you. Not everyone is even going to like you. They’re not all going to like what you do, how you talk, how you dress, your beliefs or anything about you for that matter. Don’t make this your problem. Do not take on the burden that should remain theirs. There is something about you that is trying to teach their soul a lesson (whether you know or speak to these people or not) and they’re ego is fighting it with hate because it doesn’t want to grow and learn.  There is something about you they want, need or see in themselves. You don’t need to engage and I’m not even telling you to befriend. You don’t need to do anything but be kind and move forward.
