The reason we feel fear FIRST is because our humanly instincts that have been conditioned to do it one comfortable way this long want to keep us there. Our ego wants us complacent, making us believe it’s “safe”. But what are you protecting yourself from? Your own thoughts, that’s what. Crazy, isn’t it!
You are battling your own mind. You aren’t fighting a battle externally. It’s all within. So here’s what you do – just like author Pam Grout recommends you say “I’m Excited” rather than “I’m Anxious” – rather than say “I’m Scared” you say “I’m Ready, Let’s Do This!” You get excited because that feeling of fear is like the sign on the highway that says your exit is 1/4 mile away. That’s when you start thinking about switching lanes and preparing to turn.
