During moments of anger, we sometimes feel the need to attack. To point out someone else’s flaws or fears and rub them in their face. But do we really like that when it’s done to us? Most likely the answer is no. Treating others how we want to be treated is sometimes easier said than done. Especially during heated moments when your brain clouds and the words fly out of your mouth without thinking. It happens to the best of us. But what we put out is always returned to us – so if we’re putting out anger, rage or even cattiness, we’ll receive that in return. Gossip; it comes back to us. Hate; expect it wrapped with a nice big bow.
It’s the hard road to take to express love towards individuals we may not be fond of. Not love in the sexual sense – love as in a deep respect for them as a person, no matter who they are or what they’ve done or gone through. We cannot judge books by their cover and we cannot and should not fight fire with fire when it comes to other humans. Treat them as you would like to be treated, in every situation. It’s the tough thing to do, but you never know what that person’s been through, what they’re battling or why they maybe are so mean. You have no idea, so just express love and let God handle the drama. Today’s Daily Affirmation is:
