What do you do when you don’t know what to do? My answer has always been “do nothing”. Which holds true but I want to go deeper into this for a moment and explain why. Sometimes we are aching just to do something about a situation. Our ego always wants to take action – it wants to do something, say something, figure something out. Which is typically why we get confused or tormented on what to do and how to do it.

So you simply do nothing. And you do nothing because sometimes you’re just meant to sit with those feelings. Sometimes you are meant to hold steady and firm in your faith. Sometimes you’re meant to practice patience and just KNOW something good is going to unfold. You don’t know how. You don’t know when. You don’t know where. You don’t know anything other than utter confusion and I’ve learned that when “confusion” sets it, it’s a huge sign to remain still for clarity.

You know how God likes to teach us in opposites? Ha…if you haven’t figured that one out yet, now you sure will! When you feel like speeding up, you’re meant to slow down. When you feel like figuring it out, you’re meant to trust it already is. Everything is a lesson – even that annoying confusion. It’s teaching you to be still and wait. Wait and listen to be guided. You know you’ll know what to do and when to do it. You know you’ll get a push in your spirit at the perfect time. You know the right things will pop up in divine timing – so just wait. Wait and be still. Have faith. Be patient. Trust it’s all worked out already for you – now it’s just up to timing. And I don’t know about you but timing is everything especially when you’re waiting on the most delicious cake to be baked. You don’t want it undercooked or overcooked…you want it just right. Today’s Daily Affirmation is:

I am at peace in my stillness. When I don't know what to do, I wait on the divine flow to show me where to go.
