You cannot always change the things that happen to you or the way people treat you but you can change the way you react to them. See half the battle is recognizing the situation for what it is, taking a deep breath and reacting (no matter what) with empathy, love and understanding. You see there’s always a reason for why people do/act the way they do. Always. You don’t need to figure it out, but you do need to recognize that, because that is what’s going to give you the empathy.
You never know what someone else is dealing with or going through unless you walk in their shoes – and the same goes the other way around. So instead of worrying about how they’re going to treat you, worry about how you’re going to treat them. Today’s Daily Affirmation is:
