Shakti Gawain’s best-known book is titled, Creative Visualization: Use the Power of Your Imagination to Create What You Want in Life (1978). This book launched a movement and though I have yet to have the privilege of sitting down and reading a copy – I’ve read a lot of books that have taken her concept and re-purposed it over the years.

It’s been a few weeks since I’ve done a Wisdom Wednesday post and I could have very easily done one on Maya Angelou today (may she RIP). But seeing as how everyone else has already done that, I chose Shakti Gawain because her words resonate with today’s Winky Boo Affirmation (which you can read here). They also completely collide (in a wonderfully good way!) with some of the teachings I learned last night from Gabrielle Bernstein’s Spirit Junkie Masterclass.

As I’m typing this, I literally just got out of meditation. The final words I was given before coming out were “envision it, just keep envisioning it.” As I wrote this morning in the affirmation, we don’t want to get caught future-tripping and block ourselves, but if we can envision it, we know we can have it. So envision it, feel the positive emotion behind it being yours and now let it be as it will be yours when the time is right.
