Pam Grout says, “Ignore what doesn’t please you.” Easier said than done, right? You know for over 8 years I studied under two spiritual mentors. The way I was taught wasn’t in the same fashion that I teach now. I was always told to not necessarily ask questions, just listen and do it. I know that might sound harsh to some of you however in this old school way of teaching, it worked. Not only did it work, but it taught me something crucial – sometimes we just don’t need to know. So here’s the deal – the reason we should ignore what doesn’t please us is for the very reason I just explained – we don’t need to understand some stuff. And what happens when we don’t get it and we know we don’t need to? We can ignore it. We can redirect our attention elsewhere. 

When we focus on what we don’t want and try really hard to understand WHY we don’t want it and WHY we don’t like it – we feed it energy. Abraham-Hicks says that as humans we tend to dwell on the stuff we don’t want. We sit with it. We focus on it. We even get angry at ourselves for thinking about it. But all we’re doing is boosting it more. We’re feeding it energy and enhancing it. But we can’t just flip flop over to the positive. It’s actually a gradual process. Abraham-Hicks explains that in order to make a train going a million miles per hour switch tracks you need to slow it down first. It can’t just switch, right? Nope! It has to slow down. So you can indeed slow down your thoughts to shift them from what you don’t want towards what you do want. But how is the question?

Stop talking about what’s bothering you. Stop focusing on what you don’t want to happen. Start thinking about what you do want. Feel how it will be when you receive what you do want. Because you will receive it – but only IF you stop enhancing the vibration of what it is you don’t desire. And if stuff is happening in your life that you don’t desire – it’s only the Universe’s way of showing you what is still in your vibration. Ignore it. Use it as a hint that you are getting there but aren’t quite THERE yet. Laugh about it. Abraham-Hicks says if you can laugh about it you can have fun with it. Laugh and realize that you’re getting better at pinpointing this sh*t. Laugh because the stuff that’s happening that you don’t necessarily desire is OLD NEWS. It’s old news! It’s from a vibration you set in motion before it took place. You just focused on it so much that you experienced it – you manifested it. If you don’t want that sh*t happening – STOP FEEDING IT ENERGY! Today’s Daily Affirmation is:
