I’ve been on a long journey of self-discovery and learning my own worth for many years. My life has come full circle in the last few years however, and after training under a spiritual adviser and going back to school after college (which I swore I would never do!) to earn my Life Coaching Certification, I now use my experience and the wisdom I’ve gained to help others along their journeys.

Overcoming depression, anxiety, fear, understanding my purpose and my passion, learning to truly love who I am, what I’m about and my own worthiness was a long road to travel – but every second was well-worth the struggles, tears and hard-work I put into working on myself. I live a peaceful life now full of love and happiness, passion and wisdom. I find joy and fulfillment in seeing others access their own intuition and find their inner truth.

It’s not often I share my story openly on the blog. Here and there readers get a peek into my journey as do clients on an every day basis. My life is full of deep purpose now. I allow my intuition to guide me and trust God to handle the rest. Many don’t always understand this. “Where’s the plan?”, “Isn’t that new age spiritual thinking just some hocus pocus?”  My plan is what’s meant to be, will be. I focus on what fills my spirit, what brings me happiness and I work hard, other than that I let God be God. I spread positive vibes and allow that to be returned to me tenfold. It’s simple, yes, but it works and I’ve seen it time and time again work over and over in my life, client’s lives and others.

It brings me great joy to guide and to heal. After this weekend I will have finished my other passion, earning my Master Reiki Certification. Providing a place for people to heal is my goal – be it physically, mentally, emotionally or spiritually. I’ve successfully accomplished this in my own life and I am beyond grateful and humble when I am able to do it for others.

If you knew Winky Boo the company prior to this, you knew it was a clothing company. I hadn’t a clue where it was headed and I couldn’t find the passion within to drive it anywhere great. I knew it began for a reason and I knew I worked hard to keep it going for a reason, but that reason hadn’t revealed itself to me yet up until about a year and a half ago. After months and months of soul-searching, it clicked. When I say it clicked, I mean I literally woke up and it hit me – everything made sense! I kept the company name because it’s powerful and meaningful to me. It represents my grandfather, my PopPop and his intense passion for life. He was never phased by the small stuff, he just went with it – wherever it took him. I was his Princess and he was my favorite person who brought me such love and laughter. He defended me, comforted me and gave me wisdom I hold close to my heart. He passed away a very long time ago, but his spirit is always with me, always guiding me, inspiring me and always intervening in my life.

Winky Boo are nicknames he gave my siblings and myself. If you knew my process for selecting a business name, you’d think I was legit crazy. But this means something. Winky Boo is love, passion and existence. It’s creativity, drive, inspiration and imagination. Winky Boo is a half flying monkey, half bear – why, because I said it is! My PopPop gave my older sister the name Winky after her performance as a flying monkey in the Wizard of Oz in elementary school. He nicknamed my younger brother Boo Boo like Yogi Bear’s sidekick. I, however was the Princess. So Winky Boo is my conglomeration of these names into a little spirit guru named Winky Boo. It’s got wings like an angel, it’s playful like a monkey, loving like a cuddly bear and a tiara like a princess because he/she owns his sh*t! I don’t assign a gender to it and when people ask me (I get this often BTW), “What’s a Winky Boo?” at times it was difficult to answer. I couldn’t always put into words what ‘it’ encompassed. It’s a lifestyle, it’s an ideal, it’s an attitude. People remember the name because it’s kind of weird and I’m kind of weird, so I’m totally okay with that!

I don’t necessarily take the most conventional approaches to business or life. I’m super spiritual, I keep it real and you will often hear me curse. I live the way I want to live, the way that makes me happy and I own it. I’ve never struggled with that. I’m far from what they now describe as a “basic b*tch.” I’m a free spirit. I don’t follow the crowd, I take my own path! I’m a spirit junkie, a healer, a writer, a guru on living a happy, healthy, passionate life. I’m a master of things they don’t teach you in school and I aspire to be a giver of strength, good vibes, mindfulness and wisdom. I want you to be the best you. I want you to know your own worth! I want you to live your truth. I’m here to help you do just that.
