Today I was 1 of thousands to participate in The Global Meditation for Peace with Deepak Chopra, Gabrielle Bernstein and India Arie. The gathering which streamed live online was meant to bring us all together with one intention; peace! It was also recorded by the Guinness Book of World Records to be the world’s largest online meditation gathering! Had you never meditated prior to this event, that was okay as Deepak walked the thousands of participants through a beautiful and transcendent meditation with one goal in mind.

It’s truly amazing how the idea of sitting and being still with one-self can bring about personal as well as global healing. Peace doesn’t come from external influences or factors, it comes from within.

“If you are being peace (by who you are) you are setting an intention for peace around you.” – Deepak Chopra

Far too often we falsely believe that to be at peace we need to go out and find something or worse, someone to help us become peaceful. This isn’t the case, peace starts with you. We can’t try to make others change or be at peace in their lives either.

“Don’t try to change others, it’s hard enough to change ourselves.” – Deepak Chopra

It all starts with loving yourself. In order to love yourself Deepak explained that you need to, “Observe yourself without judging yourself – that is called forgiveness and that is how you truly love.” Once you can love who you are, you can be at peace. “The greatest contribution to this world is your own peace,” Deepak Chopra. He says, “Once you connect to your true, pure self, there is no more search for peace.”

“Peace can only be created by those who are peaceful.” – Deepak Chopra

So as you move into the weekend, find your peace. If you’ve been searching out there, return and look within yourself. If you need help, I’m always here for you. Have a PEACEFUL Friday!
