You know the saying, “when one door closes, another one opens” ? As hard as it is to hear people say catchy little phrases like this when you’re upset, hurt, confused, etc., this one has a lot of truth in it. Sometimes God has to literally take things away from us to make room for something else. At the time you may not understand. At the time you may simply just want to remain mad. But we need to not allow our emotions to get the best of us. You see, while we’re sitting around being frustrated or angry at the fact we got laid off from our job, we might miss a dream opportunity staring us right in the face.

They also say, “God works in mysterious ways,” right? He does – he also has a great sense of humor. So we need to learn to maintain ours when life throws us unwarranted curve-balls – because there is a rhyme and a reason for it all. Eventually it’ll all come together like a jigsaw puzzle and every uphill battle and downhill slope will make complete sense. Until then, laugh at the confusion and roll with the punches – the Universe only has our best interest at heart. Today’s Daily Affirmation is:
