There is something amazing happening this month. The energy has been fierce and to be quite honest, that can be a good thing or a bad thing – depending on how you look at it. But it all comes down to this one thing: are you willing to grow?
So we’ve discussed Mercury Retrograde more than enough times. Mercury Retrograde ended Saturday October 25, 2014 but has a shadow period which means you can still feel some effects until November 10. Mercury, the planet, spins backwards – yada yada yada – it can bring up a lot of sh*t and that’s putting it nicely. But again, it’s all in how you perceive it. If you’re willing to learn and grow then you will embrace every so-called “painful” or “fearful” feeling and address why it’s making you feel the things you feel. When you turn your attention inward upon feeling an emotion, you open a gateway for growth.
What I usually tell clients in order to help them open that highway towards personal growth is to start journaling. Now, when you hear “journaling” I know you immediately picture a 12-year old little girl scribbling doodles and love notes in a notebook. No – this is NOT what I mean by journaling. What I mean is get a notebook and a pen or hop on your computer, iPad, tablet, iPhone, whatever and find a space to write or type. I prefer writing with pen and paper because you feel the words leave you and they seem to resonate more and have a greater impact when they’re in YOUR handwriting and not a chosen font style. So what exactly do you write down? ANYTHING! That’s right, anything you are thinking or feeling. Write it down. Make bullet-points and list it all out.
So what does this do Amy? Good question! Our minds are powerful weapons OR tools. HUGE difference there. They can be a weapon of mass destruction or a tool to help you along your path. We produce thoughts in our minds and they either stem from love or from fear. Fear-based thinking is from our ego – the human voice inside that we created that takes past experiences and projects them forward onto the present and future. Anything that creates worry, fear, doubt or guilt is a thought from your ego. Love-based thinking is from God. That is thinking, feeling and perceiving as God would, with love. Since our natural state of being is pure joy, you struggle to experience joy when living through your ego. All you will experience, manifest and perceive is fear.
Free-will means you get to choose. You get to choose which way to live, experience and see the world. You are the captain of your thoughts. Nobody is forcing you to focus on anything. You get to choose! Stop filtering everything through illusion and fear. Stop carrying your old baggage forward into the present. Why not decide right now to draw out a more pleasing reality? It hasn’t left the building, that reality exists, you’ve just placed a dark curtain over the window so you’re unable to see it. You can remove that dark curtain at any time you wish. It’s just a matter of making a decision. Many ask me how I am capable of being so at peace all the time. They don’t understand why I can be happy regardless of circumstances, situations or things happening around me. Sh*t happens to everybody – it’s just a matter of learning how to handle the sh*t. Learning how to perceive the sh*t. If you can be grateful for it and see the lesson in it, it’s not sh*t anymore – it’s a blessing. Correcting the perception from it being negative to positive is classified as a miracle. I’ve learned to navigate around the sh*t – to not step in it. I’ve learned a miracle-minded way of living. I chose joy. I chose peace. I chose happiness. Once you make that choice, there’s no turning back! What do you choose?
